Prof. T. Y. Hsu (Zuyao Xu)

Prof. T. Y. Hsu, Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, is a world-famous material scientist and educator. He devotes his whole life to the research on mechanism and application of phase transformations in materials, having achieved great research fruits and owned students all over the world. Prof. Hsu has a great deal of original works on martensitic transformation, bainitic transformation and thermodynamics in materials, and becomes one of the pioneers in the heat treatment in materials in China. His education idea and academic achievements not only have a far-reaching impact on China’s material scientists for generations, but also obtain wide accept by foreign scientists. Therefore, Prof. Hsu is invited to be the visiting professor or honorary professor of many universities all around the world, as well as the advisory committee of many international academies and consulting editor of many international journals.
